What is a Service Grant?

A service grant is a 5 to 20 hour task designed to help a grantee use NetSuite software effectively. Service grants are partnerships between the grantee and the employee volunteer where the team accomplishes a task together. The grantee manages the project and the volunteer contributes their time, talents and knowledge. Service grants are not a replacement for implementation services, professional services or paid consulting.

How do I Prepare for a Service Grant?

The key elements for preparing for a service grant are:

1. Define your Goals. Write down what you are trying to accomplish.
2. Understand the Steps. What are the different steps that need to be completed to accomplish the goals of the service grant?
3. Define Roles. Write down who is responsible for what.
4. Prepare Supporting Materials. Put together screenshots, sample reports, anything to help the team visualize the desired end result.
